About the Role

The Sr. Project Manager will serve as a leader with expert knowledge, focused on providing project management, team leadership, mentoring, advancing work quality, integrating design services, managing processes, and delivering financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and nurture client relationships to foster future opportunities.
  • Maintain positive client relations throughout projects, communicating design, construction, and other issues clearly.
  • Establish shared expectations and clarity on working methods with clients early in engagements.
  • Ensure appropriate client and internal communication, including written project documentation.
  • Play a lead role in key meetings and presentations.
  • Participate in Business Development activities and partner with Marketing and Office Leadership to grow revenue.
  • Understand contractual obligations and ensure team delivers on expectations for scope of work and services.
  • Proactively communicate with clients to identify and obtain approvals for scope additions and payables.
  • Lead project teams to develop goals, work plans, and achieve quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability objectives.
  • Facilitate the development, evolution, and management of work plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage the design and documentation process and the implementation of design during construction.
  • Maintain the project record, including capturing and documenting key decisions.
  • Manage risk mitigation and compliance, including developing and managing a risk management plan.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Implement Ennead and CannonDesign process expectations, best practices, and standards.
  • Manage and coordinate team workload and activities, communicating client objectives clearly.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to team members and share lessons learned.
  • Act as a proactive resource to project teams in decision-making and solution development.
  • Meet with project team members regularly to monitor work progress and ensure best practice standards are implemented.
  • Ensure all statutory requirements for the project are achieved.
  • Oversee the QA/QC process, monitor technical quality, and enforce QA/QC standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Architect, Lead Designer, and Quality leader in planning work.
  • Participate in contract negotiations.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced staff and train other project managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related degree.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including managing projects with construction budgets of $70M.
  • Previous experience on Health projects is preferred.
  • Current Licensure is preferred.
  • LEED certification is preferred.
  • Capability of performing in a project management role for large or multiple projects and training project managers.
  • Strong client leadership and project team management capability for large or multiple projects.
  • Must possess strong business acumen.
  • Ability to perform as a leader of authority, with expert level knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and the ability to build rapport with the project team and client.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam, and other data management software is required.
