  • Plan the approved agenda against delivery capacity, business readiness, and platform dependencies, surfacing conflicts and recommending trade-offs.
  • Run delivery governance, including stage gates, change control, and escalation, and prepare investment approvals.
  • Maintain the integrated roadmap and dependency map across platforms, regions, and service lines, acting early on dependency slips.

  • Coordinate delivery resources across internal teams, outsource partners, and third-party implementation partners.
  • Ensure clean handover of solutions into support with agreed documentation, training, and ownership before go-live.

  • Set clear objectives and delivery standards, coach the team, and manage performance and development.
  • Manage designated resources who do not report directly, ensuring they meet delivery standards.
  • Supplement the team with contract or partner resources when demand exceeds capacity.
  • Take on the project manager role personally for critical workstreams or initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Platform Leads and Business Partners to align delivery plans, resourcing, and release timing.
  • Translate the Global IT change agenda into clearly scoped initiatives and delivery reality for leadership audiences.
  • Prepare portfolio dashboards, decision papers, and progress updates for leadership forums.
  • Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and prioritization sessions.
  • Agree business ownership, resource commitment, and sign-off at each stage, and confirm scope changes through agreed change control.
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting on progress, spend, risk, and dependencies across the portfolio.
  • Manage portfolio-level risk and issue tracking, including cross-program risks.
  • Track benefits through to realization and report on achievement.
  • Produce a single portfolio reporting pack for leadership.
  • Use data to challenge assumptions, surface delivery trends, and improve estimating and planning.
  • Ensure every initiative has a proportionate change and adoption plan.
  • Work with business process owners to ensure business decisions drive technology delivery.
  • Monitor adoption after implementation and drive corrective action.
  • Manage delivery performance of implementation partners and outsourced technology providers.
  • Continuously improve portfolio and delivery practices.

Requirements

  • A track record of running several overlapping, interdependent projects or programs without losing control of scope, schedule, or quality.
  • Excellent reporting discipline with clear, accurate, decision-ready reporting.
  • Strong risk, issue, and dependency management, especially for cross-project risks.
  • Experience leading project managers directly and managing delivery from designated resources who report elsewhere.
