About the Role

Surefox North America Inc is seeking an experienced Incident Commander with high integrity and professionalism to join their team in the Bay Area. This role involves working on assigned projects for top Silicon Valley clients, acting as a liaison between Surefox and clients, and providing emergency response. The position requires adherence to client policies, state and federal regulations, and emphasizes customer service in handling emergencies and client requests.

Responsibilities

Conduct patrols, monitor access, deter unauthorized entry, and enforce security measures
Collaborate with a Security Operations Center by responding to calls for service, reporting suspicious activity, security violations, and assisting with initial responses
Respond promptly and safely to emergencies, contact first responders as needed, and take initial action to control & secure a scene
Proactively investigate and report accidents, incidents, or other suspicious activity
Verify identification of employees, vendors, or guests and control access using badges or other credentials
Document security events, observations, and routine activity in detailed Daily Activity Reports or Incident Reports
Perform light front desk duties to include: greeting visitors, providing directions, verifying access, and creating a positive first impression
Assist employees and provide a professional, welcoming environment for visitors and clients
Build rapport with and foster a collaborative environment with workplace & facilities teams, employees, visitors, and clients
Proactively de-escalate situations and address concerns with courtesy and professionalism
Work independently and adapt to varying work paces while remaining focused and energetic
Respond to emergency events, medical & non-medical issues, and handle client requests
Initiate preliminary investigations and write incident reports on internal client and company issues

Requirements

Must be eligible for employment within the United States
Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines
Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate
Must have a current BSIS guard card or be eligible to qualify for a guard card
Must have a high school degree or equivalent
Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or be eligible to qualify for a certification
Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Handle the physical demands of the role and the activity required as part of static or foot patrol responsibilities
