About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist at Madison Health, you will evaluate, plan, treat, and discharge patients who have lost their ability to perform daily functions. This role involves evaluating and treating in-patient and out-patient adults and pediatrics, with no weekends or holidays required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patient condition upon referral and integrates data to create a customized treatment plan with goals.
- Provides safe and effective occupational therapy treatment incorporating physical, mental, social, and emotional components.
- Completes documentation and billing timely to maximize compensation for occupational therapy treatment.
- Tracks personal performance to support efficient and effective care.
- Demonstrates open and effective communication with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
- Treats patients and families with dignity and respect, ensuring confidentiality of patient records.
- Maintains and operates equipment safely and correctly, following department procedures for sterilization.
- Manages facilities, materials, equipment, and time necessary for service delivery.
- Exhibits knowledge of and complies with state, federal, and American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) regulations.
Requirements
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Ohio
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment required
