About the Role
Join our team as a Manufacturing Technician on a 12-month contract. You will support production processes, program machine shop equipment, and assist with capital project work. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically skilled, and comfortable optimizing processes and equipment performance with production teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify and optimize programs for CNC machining operations.
- Provide daily shop floor support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to reduce downtime.
- Support CapEx projects including equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and validation.
- Assist with layout planning and preparation of work instructions.
- Conduct process studies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design tools, machining fixtures, welding fixtures, and forming fixtures.
- Manage engineering change orders and fabrication part routings.
Requirements
- Diploma in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, manufacturing, or a similar field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in machining and Mazatrol programming.
- Experience with tool design, CAD, and CNC programming.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with fabrication and assembly equipment and processes.
- Experience supporting CapEx Projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A good eye for detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
