About the Role

Easy Ice is seeking a Technician II to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of ice machines through installation, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role focuses on maximizing equipment lifespan, minimizing service calls, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Install, clean, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ice machine equipment.
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits, building positive customer relationships.
  • Train and mentor less senior technicians.
  • Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
  • Diagnose technical issues and determine proper solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Document all actions performed during service visits, including photos, forms, and reports.
  • Ensure proper truck stock and supplies are maintained.
  • Manage the pickup and delivery of ice as needed for service calls.
  • Facilitate customer payments and assist with equipment shutdown or removal.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Vocational/Technical Training preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in the diagnosis and repair of commercial equipment (refrigeration, electrical, HVAC, ice machines, or related equipment).
  • EPA 2 Certification.
  • Working knowledge of mobile tools and applications.
  • Experience with and ability to demonstrate volt meter operations.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, including a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to repair and maintenance issues.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Skills in maintaining organized records and documentation of service activities.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • High-energy individual with a positive attitude and strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and service protocols.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to new technologies and service protocols.
