About the Role
The New York Climate Exchange seeks a graphic designer to create a 30–40-page prospectus that visually communicates the organization's vision and planned climate campus, enhancing external understanding and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Identifying, coordinating, and reviewing visual assets (photography, renderings, maps, illustrations) to support the narrative.
- Designing layouts that strengthen and clarify the narrative.
- Selecting and integrating visuals that illustrate the narrative in collaboration with the Communications Director and editorial strategist.
Requirements
- Ability to coordinate projects with multiple contributors.
- Expertise in editorial design and layout.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and the broader Creative Suite.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across The Exchange, partner organizations, and other institutions.
- Recognition of the value of diverse perspectives and lived experiences, applying a critical lens to systemic bias and discrimination.
- Application of critical thinking and seeking input from others.
- Commitment to decisions and acting upon them.
- Must be able to work in the United States.
- Must be available to join occasional weekday meetings in the ET time zone.
