About the Role
Perform extensive kitchen equipment inspections to ensure units are running at optimum efficiency. Document maintenance issues, investigate open reports, and follow up with onsite engineers. Perform basic maintenance tasks and work closely with culinary teams and vendors regarding equipment purchases and supply procurement.
Responsibilities
- Perform extensive kitchen equipment inspections to ensure units are running at optimum efficiency.
- Document maintenance issues through the task tool system.
- Investigate open reports and follow up with onsite engineer technicians.
- Provide updates on maintenance issues.
- Perform basic maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, building carts/shelves, and replacing cart tires/speed racks.
- Work closely with other teams outside of culinary and approved on-board vendors.
- Work with vendors regarding equipment purchases.
- Follow up on procurement of supplies.
- Verify materials received are as ordered.
- Route incoming items to appropriate teams/locations in a safe, orderly, and timely manner.
- Update order reports with delivery details.
- Upload invoices properly onto the report.
- Operate electric vehicles, vans, box trucks, food trucks, food trailers/carts, and/or tow trucks.
- Handle food truck logistics including driving, grease water removal, refilling water, diesel, gas, propane, and weekly/monthly washing.
- Plan and lead equipment-related projects as assigned.
- Conduct daily inspection of all kitchen equipment.
- Assist with triaging work tickets.
- Operate dolly, cart, and/or pallet jack when loading and unloading equipment supplies.
- May assist with on the job training of new team members.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain an active Food Handlers Card, as required by the State Health Department.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Type 45 WPM
- Basic computer and Microsoft program knowledge: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, etc.
- Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Independent thinker to resolve matters as they arise
- Excellent multi-tasking skills

- Must be able to stand a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Some heavy lifting (may lift 10-50 lbs.) and possible moving of equipment required
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision
- Repetitive hand motion using keyboard, writing reports, using carts both loaded and unloaded to transport items
- Standing, walking, bending/twisting, and balance are all required to perform job task

Work Type

Experience Level
- 1+ year experience in a food service operation as an Equipment Coordinator
- Light to Advanced experience in the Culinary Industry
Education Level
- High school diploma or GED
Salary/Compensations
- $32.00 per hour
