About the Role
This position addresses physician leadership for all aspects of the facility, ensuring the highest quality patient care through a multidisciplinary team approach and continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical direction to the clinic, including planning scope of services, equipment specifications, space design, and standardization of patient care policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain positive marketing relationships with physicians and companies for effective communication, coordination, and funding.
- Collaborate with the medical staff to determine and monitor outcome indicators for quality care.
- Identify and address issues affecting the medical staff.
- Maintain positive relations with medical staff members.
- Perform technical skills in accordance with credentialed competencies.
- Assist in the development of marketing plans and activities.
- Advise and assist in the development, administration, and implementation of business plans.
- Provide financial services, including supervision of accounting, reporting, and control procedures.
- Develop and ensure proper implementation of financial planning and control systems.
- Participate in the evaluation of the quality of care rendered by the Department.
- Cooperate in the hospital’s quality assurance program.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Actively participate on committee or team assignments involving clinic services.
- Communicate issues requiring attention to the medical staff and associated departments.
- Keep the administrative liaison informed of medical staff issues related to the clinic.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed physician in Alabama.
- Must have successfully credentialed through the Medical Staff Services of Southeast Health.
Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both in writing and orally.
- Ability to effectively communicate in an emergency situation.
