About the Role
We are seeking a qualified accountant with approximately 2 years of post-qualified experience to join our Finance team in London. This role offers the opportunity to own a key trading entity, develop expertise in commercial finance, treasury, and business partnering, and play a central role in financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Own the financial control of Avanti's primary trading entity.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reporting and detailed financial analysis.
- Manage month-end processes including journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
- Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
- Own the Group cash flow forecast and support liquidity planning.
- Provide commercial insight to improve financial performance and support decision-making.
- Business partner with senior leaders across the organisation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and annual planning.
- Drive finance process improvements and systems development initiatives.
- Contribute to wider Finance projects and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Around 2 years' post-qualified experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience within telecoms, technology or other fast-paced industries (Desirable).
- Exposure to private equity-backed businesses (Desirable).
- Experience using NetSuite (Desirable).
- Previous involvement in statutory accounts preparation and external audits (Desirable).
- Experience mentoring and supporting more junior finance team members, or a natural ability to help develop others would be advantageous (Desirable).
