About the Role

We are seeking a qualified accountant with approximately 2 years of post-qualified experience to join our Finance team in London. This role offers the opportunity to own a key trading entity, develop expertise in commercial finance, treasury, and business partnering, and play a central role in financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial control of Avanti's primary trading entity.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reporting and detailed financial analysis.
  • Manage month-end processes including journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Own the Group cash flow forecast and support liquidity planning.
  • Provide commercial insight to improve financial performance and support decision-making.
  • Business partner with senior leaders across the organisation.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and annual planning.
  • Drive finance process improvements and systems development initiatives.
  • Contribute to wider Finance projects and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Around 2 years' post-qualified experience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within telecoms, technology or other fast-paced industries (Desirable).
  • Exposure to private equity-backed businesses (Desirable).
  • Experience using NetSuite (Desirable).
  • Previous involvement in statutory accounts preparation and external audits (Desirable).
  • Experience mentoring and supporting more junior finance team members, or a natural ability to help develop others would be advantageous (Desirable).
