About the Role

As a Talent Intelligence & Analytics Associate, you will be the expert on the AI talent market, tracking competitor strategies, compensation trends, and candidate acquisition tactics. You will build the data and research foundation for Mercor's recruiting efforts across all departments, transforming market signals and funnel data into actionable insights for recruiters and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Track the competitive AI talent landscape, including sourcing strategies, team structures, and offer positioning of frontier labs, Mag 7 companies, and direct competitors.
  • Analyze Mercor's hiring funnel metrics (pass-through rates, time-in-stage, source yield, quality of hire) and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Build dashboards and reporting for real-time insights into pipeline health and hiring capacity for recruiting leadership.
  • Serve as the analytics expert for Talent Acquisition, informing strategic decisions across the recruiting funnel.
  • Partner with business leadership and recruiters in GTM, Applied AI, and Operations to address specific market and pipeline questions.
  • Conduct research projects on talent market trends, including talent origins, evolving compensation structures, and competitor hiring practices.
  • Develop and maintain compensation benchmarks to ensure Mercor's offers remain competitive.
  • Present findings to recruiting and company leadership, translating data into a clear point of view.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in people analytics, talent intelligence, or recruiting analytics, preferably at a high-growth tech or AI company.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Comfort building dashboards in tools like Hex, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Genuine interest in the AI talent market.
  • Ability to transform messy data into a clear narrative and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present data-backed viewpoints.
  • High motor and outcome-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with Ashby or ability to quickly adopt new tools and systems.
