About the Role

Fluid Gauge Company (FGC), a Harrington company, is seeking a dedicated individual to manage sales orders, customer quotes, and order fulfillment. This role involves utilizing the company's ERP system, coordinating deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Enter sales orders utilizing the company ERP system with recommended discounts and pricing.
• Obtain manager approval for pricing adjustments.
• Use company-approved sales and marketing techniques and tools, including the Harrington website and E-Commerce platform.
• Determine the best and most economical delivery methods for customer orders.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with the Sales Office Manager and communicate them to customers.
• Prepare and respond to customer requests for pricing and availability quotes.
• Gather information from bills of material and contact customers for additional details.
• Obtain pricing information from suppliers and the ERP system.
• Send completed quotes to customers and determine follow-up dates.
• Maintain quote files.
• Respond to customer requests for order status by gathering information from the computer system and consulting with vendors and company personnel.
• Call customers with updated order status information.
• Utilize the company ERP software to create part-item numbers and update bills of material.
• Understand the eCommerce platform.
• Receive materials, pull and ship orders for customers.
• Order replacement stock.
• Provide excellent customer service and sales support.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience or training in industrial wholesale distribution in the pipe, valve, and fitting industry preferred.
• 1-2 years of sales experience.
