About the Role

This role bridges the gap between financial discipline and strategic change management, supporting the FP&A team in providing commercial support and insights on revenue and costs to drive improved financial performance. The objective is to implement best-in-class FP&A processes that can scale with business growth and assist the Transformation Board in leading the delivery and financial governance of critical, organisation-wide transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist FP&A team in group budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to analyse financial data and performance, identifying and tracking trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide variance analysis, cashflow forecasting and regular project-level P&L updates on active initiatives.
  • Establish strong cross-functional relationships with department leads to undertake cost-benefit analysis.
  • Own the secured revenue and annual recurring revenue reporting for the group.
  • Own the group’s headcount planning and reporting.
  • Own the financial tracking of the Transformation portfolio, to ensure expenses align with approved budgets.
  • Assist the FP&A team in maintaining the finance, revenue and workforce planning in Vena (FP&A tool).
  • Assist the FP&A team in guiding the commercial sales pipeline analysis with the BI team.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, reporting systems and analytical tools.
  • Prepare and present concise performance dashboards and financial updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor external vendor costs, milestones and contract deliverables against project budgets.
  • Review non-standard customer contracts to ensure they are acceptable for the business.
  • Assist Transformation Board with the governance and execution of operational, structural and strategic change projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams to provide financial modelling/budgeting inputs across departments.
  • Ensure financial project inputs are communicated across teams to meet project milestones.
  • Work with the Transformation Director to design clear stakeholder communication pathways.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering or a similar analytical finance role.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis.
  • Proven ability to analyse financial data and provide commercially focused insights and recommendations.
  • Experience managing or supporting cross-functional projects or business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using financial planning and reporting systems (e.g. Vena, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
