About the Role

Join ING's Financial Markets Credit Exposure Management Team as a Funding, Liquidity & Collateral Management Analyst / Associate. This role is central to the wholesale banking business, focusing on optimizing funding, liquidity, and collateral for complex derivatives portfolios. You will gain exposure to financial markets products, valuation, trading, risk management, and strategic optimization, directly contributing to revenue generation and balance sheet efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management and ongoing development of ING's Derivative Funding Framework.
  • Price and analyze Funding XVA adjustments for derivative portfolios.
  • Perform collateral, liquidity, and funding analysis to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Produce management reporting and deliver insights on key collateral and funding metrics.
  • Analyze and substantiate profit and loss performance across funding, liquidity, and collateral activities.
  • Develop controls, tools, and methodologies to enhance funding and collateral management processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on funding and collateral-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to process improvements and strategic projects across the FM CEM function.

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel modelling capabilities.
  • Experience using VBA to solve complex business challenges.
  • Knowledge of financial markets products, including interest rate, FX and credit derivatives.
  • Understanding of counterparty credit risk and valuation adjustment concepts (XVA).
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with the drive to improve processes and deliver results.
