About the Role

The Shift Supervisor coordinates daily activities for residents and staff, ensuring tasks are completed and residents participate in scheduled activities. They maintain facility safety, security, and promote a home-like environment that supports recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and supervises program and operation staff activities during their shift.
  • Communicates all incidents, reportable and non-reportable, to supervisor.
  • Provides feedback to Primary Counselors and other treatment staff as needed.
  • Ensures resident documentation is distributed and filed appropriately.
  • Ensures the resident appointment calendar is accurate and current.
  • Witnesses and logs resident urine screenings and observes/logs alcohol sensor readings.
  • Ensures completion of RSS checklist, provides follow-up on previous Shift Supervisor tasks, and reports findings to management.
  • Responds to crisis situations, ensuring residents receive appropriate intervention services.
  • Participates in staff development groups, feedback meetings, trainings, and other assigned meetings.
  • Must be present on the floor with residents unless performing administrative duties.
  • Ensures residents adhere to stipulations related to loss of privileges (L.O.P.'s) or assigned Learning Experiences (L.E.'s).
  • Monitors residents on house containment and speaking bans.
  • Facilitates or participates in resident activities, groups, and meetings as needed.
  • Maintains the bulletin board in the HMO with appropriate and current documentation.
  • Participates in house turnover, ensuring safe and accurate maintenance and documentation of cash and supplies.
  • Supervises client self-administration of prescribed medications and immediately reports any issues or discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience working with SUD and/or SPMI populations.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be well-organized.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Must possess good writing skills.
  • Must possess good problem-solving skills.
