About the Role
Provides coordination of peer support services through the certification of CRPAs or CRPA-P services for all seeking assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in development of recovery plans with clients in the program.
- Assisting clients in becoming aware of existing social and other support service in the community.
- Modeling coping skills
- Assisting clients with applying for benefits
- Accompanying Clients to medical appointments
- Providing Clients with non-clinical crisis support, especially after periods of hospitalization or incarceration
- Working with clients to identify strengths
- Link clients to formal recovery supports
- Educating clients about the various modes of recovery they will experience
- Travel training – informing clients about local transportation options and how to best access and utilize them.
Requirements
- Experience working with diverse population and outside community sources.
- Detail oriented with professional communication skills.
- Proficient in word processing/computer operations and telephone systems.
- Work within a trauma-informed environment.
- Adhere to Sanctuary commitments.
