About the Role

Bronx Community Solutions (BCS) is seeking a Social Worker for their adult intervention programming. This role will facilitate and coordinate a brief group intervention for justice-involved individuals, conduct clinical assessments, make treatment referrals, and report to the court. The intervention focuses on procedural justice, risk-need-responsivity, and trauma-informed care to help participants reflect on environmental factors influencing decision-making. The Social Worker will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team providing adult case management services.

Responsibilities

Facilitate a range of on-site psychoeducational groups and conduct individual counseling sessions
Assist clinical staff and other departments with crisis intervention and de-escalation, as needed
Provide comprehensive, clinically informed case management services to a caseload of short- and long-term mandated clients
Conduct clinical assessments and make appropriate referrals for treatment and other services
Participate in individual and group supervision
Participate in department staff meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, and on- and off-site trainings
Assist with administrative responsibilities, including data management, grant reporting and compliance monitoring
Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

LMSW or a degree in a related field
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related area
Excellent written skills are a must
Skilled communicator able to work in a multi-disciplinary setting
Ability to maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies and organizations both onsite and in the community
Highly organized and excellent time management skills
Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
Provide accurate and truthful information throughout the hiring process

Skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
Experience with drug/alcohol treatment, mental health services, co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice strongly preferred
Critical thinking skills
Ability to manage high-pressure/fast-paced work environment
Extensive group facilitation experience a plus
Co-facilitation experience preferred
Sense of humor
