About the Role
GP Strategies Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic Trainer/Instructor to deliver high-impact onboarding training for new hires joining our client’s disability insurance service department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the classroom and enjoys helping learners build confidence and competence from day one. This is a hands-on training delivery role where you will bring developed training content to life.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Lead classroom-based and virtual training (ILT & VILT) for new hires.
- Facilitate sessions using a variety of methods that support adult learning styles.
- Guide learners through structured materials including learner guides, facilitator guides, and hands-on exercises.
- Deliver training programs consistently and effectively, earning strong evaluation scores and learner satisfaction.
- Adapt facilitation approach to meet the needs of diverse audiences and skill levels.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development Managers and operational teams to meet training goals.
- Ensure learners are well-prepared to step into their roles with confidence and clarity.
- Troubleshoot learner issues in both virtual and classroom environments.
- Provide coaching, clarify complex topics, and maintain an engaging, supportive environment.
Requirements
- Experience delivering training in both classroom and virtual formats.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot learner questions and technical issues during sessions.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and effective instructional methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
