About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Group Financial Reporting Manager to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract basis. This role involves complex corporate transaction project-work alongside back-filling other team members' BAU activities during a period of increased workload. Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you will act as a key subject matter expert, using your technical accounting skills to ensure transactions are completed. This is a high-visibility, technical, and operational role that also encompasses the financial controllership of the ITV Group’s Shared business area. You will play a significant part in the technical aspects of corporate-transaction accounting while also helping to deliver external reporting requirements and serving as the primary contact for our Group audit and supporting interactions with the Group’s Audit Committee. This role will suit someone with a genuine interest in contributing to high-quality external financial reporting and complex technical accounting solutions.
Responsibilities

- Analysing complex revenue transactions, defined benefit pensions, and consolidation impacts from Group restructurings.
- Delivering half and full-year statutory financial statements under IFRS for a listed company.
- Acting as the primary ITV contact for the Group’s external audit process, leading coordination to tight deadlines and delivering technical aspects of the audit.
- Preparing and presenting presentations and papers on complex transactions for the Audit Committee, providing clear conclusions and management recommendations.
- Maintaining financial integrity for statutory information relating to entities in the Group’s shared business area, managing period-end deadlines, primary reviews, and non-BAU accounting.
- Owning the Group’s implementation of IFRS 18, analysing its impact on financial statements and collaborating with finance systems teams on Chart of Accounts configurations.
- Maintaining and updating the Group’s accounting policy manual and drafting new or revised policies.
- Providing technical expertise on IFRS and UK GAAP queries to the wider business.
- Delivering technical training and accounting updates across the ITV finance community.
- Driving continuous improvement across processes and controls within the shared business areas.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Essential prior experience in audit practice auditing listed entities, or an equivalent industry financial reporting role.
- Deep technical accounting knowledge across both IFRS and UK GAAP, with specific expertise in business combinations, consolidation accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to translate complex accounting concepts into clear, practical guidance for commercial and non-finance stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in contributing to high-quality external financial reporting and complex technical accounting solutions.
- A resilient problem solver who demonstrates initiative, takes clear ownership of challenges, and navigates obstacles effectively.
