About the Role
Direct Medics is recruiting a locum General Adult Psychiatrist for East London Foundation Trust. The role involves joint clinical leadership, providing medical input and oversight to the Front Door, and participating in daily referrals meetings. The post holder will offer consultant leadership, supervision, and support to their team, assessing patients and co-producing care plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide joint clinical leadership with the senior Psychologist.
- Provide medical input and oversight to the Front Door.
- Offer consultant leadership, supervision, and support to the team.
- Participate in the assessment of patients referred to the service.
- Co-produce formulations addressing patients’ psychiatric, physical, psychological and social needs.
- Assess patients and co-produce a care plan before discharging back to primary care.
- Undertake good communication with the patient’s GP and workers in the team.
- Participate in daily referrals meetings.
- Provide senior clinical leadership in daily referrals meetings.
- Support the team in triaging referrals.
- Make decisions about allocation of assessors or referral redirection.
Requirements
- Valid GMC Registration with full Licence to Practice
- Right to Work in the UK
- Minimum 6 months of medical experience in this role or a similar role within the UK
