About the Role

This is a new role and a rare opportunity to help shape the next phase of a fast-growing global organisation working on some of the most urgent issues of our time, working at the CEO's side with a unique vantage point across our country teams, strategy and network of funders and partners worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic counsel and act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO.
  • Shape the CEO’s internal and external communications.
  • Manage the CEO's priorities, time, and decision pipeline.
  • Keep global and country teams aligned on shared priorities.
  • Facilitate decision-making across the organisation.
  • Lead special projects requiring senior-level attention.
  • Liaise with country Executive Directors on the CEO's behalf.
  • Identify where teams need more support and provide assistance in crises.
  • Support leadership succession planning.
  • Mentor emerging leaders across country teams.

Requirements

  • Commitment to More in Common’s mission and values.
  • Experience working closely with, or in direct support of, a senior executive, founder or CEO.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and time-sensitive decisions simultaneously.
  • Sound judgment and discretion, including experience handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Comfortable operating with incomplete information and confident making calls on when to resolve issues independently versus escalate.
  • Ability to lead through influence rather than authority, working effectively with peers and country teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Inter-disciplinary interests and experience, such as having worked in different sectors, countries, and roles.
  • At least six years’ working experience in fields such as public opinion research, public policy, political science, and international relations.

Skills

  • Fluency in English and at least one of French, German, Spanish, Polish or Portuguese languages.

  • Working in one of our country offices, with a preference for London
