Responsibilities
- Advise clients across various industries on developing and implementing AI- and Machine Learning-based products and solutions.
- Lead Data Science and AI projects holistically, manage interdisciplinary project teams, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Structure complex business challenges, develop innovative analytical solutions, and present clearly reasoned, data-based recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
- Build trusted client relationships, understand strategic priorities, and develop tailored solutions with measurable added value.
- Communicate the opportunities, use cases, limitations, and business value of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence to internal and external decision-makers.
- Support business development by contributing Data Science and AI expertise to proposals, pitches, and new project opportunities.
- Coach and develop team members through regular mentoring, constructive feedback, and technical support.
- Strengthen Simon-Kucher's positioning in the Analytics and AI community through publications, value propositions, presentations, events, and other thought leadership activities.
- Monitor developments in Data Science, AI, and Advanced Analytics, translating relevant trends into concrete opportunities for clients and the company.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in Data Science consulting or a data-driven corporate environment.
- Successfully completed university degree in a quantitative, technical, or comparable field.
- Proven experience applying Advanced Analytics and Data Science to commercial challenges, particularly in marketing, market modeling, and pricing.
- Demonstrated track record in leading small teams and successfully delivering high-quality results.
- Experience in managing strategic projects, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and collaborating with stakeholders at various hierarchical levels.
- Combines strong practical Data Science expertise with a pronounced consulting mentality, adept at structuring unclear or complex business challenges, working directly with clients, and translating sophisticated analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Possesses strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with a structured, pragmatic, and detail-oriented approach.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant AI and Machine Learning approaches, including predictive modeling, generative AI, Large Language Models, and neural networks.
- Proficient in Python and SQL, with practical experience in developing statistical and machine learning models. Knowledge of other programming languages is advantageous.
- Familiarity with leading cloud and machine learning platforms and understanding the requirements for developing and implementing analytical solutions.
- Fluent in German and English, capable of communicating complex technical topics comprehensibly to business stakeholders.
