About the Role
Join Xylem, a Fortune 500 global water solutions company, and contribute to solving critical water challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions. This role is essential in ensuring product quality and efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Interact with Production Control, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing Engineering to plan, schedule, and produce product.
- Attend meetings to ensure cooperation and facilitate communication.
- Review and recommend improvements to department processes, safety, throughput, methods, and procedures.
- Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of equipment operation, tools, and techniques.
- Plan and execute tasks related to gasketing Plate and Frame thermal plates.
- Remove and install gaskets, verifying material correctness before starting operations.
- Gasket plates according to drawings, special instructions, and procedures.
- Accomplish and document material cycle counts.
- Sort, identify, and stock materials, generating labels and tagging items.
- Ensure unit/part cleanliness per specifications before releasing for shipment.
- Package gaskets, plates, and assemblies for shipment.
- Sign off on paperwork to indicate inspection and conformity to fabrication requirements.
- Verify calibration dates for all gauges and measuring tools.
- Lubricate and clean tools/equipment daily.
- Observe all safety and shop rules, and notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
- Wear, clean, and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in air and noise sampling when directed.
- Ensure all product meets specifications and quantities without deviation, reporting any deviations.
- Assist and train new employees.
- Maintain good housekeeping and a safe environment throughout the work area.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Six (6) months assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
