About the Role
Steer is seeking an experienced, motivated, self-starting, problem-solver, and collaborative professional for the Infrastructure Transactions Principal Consultant position. This role is within the Infrastructure and Asset Advisory team, supporting the company's transactions advisory services. The individual will be a key team member responsible for winning and delivering projects for investors, lenders, grantors, operating companies, and project developers in the transport sector.
Responsibilities
- Help build a vibrant pipeline of work through active management of client relationships.
- Sell services from across Steer and leverage reputation as a specialist in the field.
- Support Steer’s Infrastructure Transactions practice via client engagement and proposal development.
- Work on projects as a Project Manager, ensuring best practice techniques are applied consistently and full integration with Steer project teams.
- Help diversify Steer's offer to deliver growth in line with company strategy.
Requirements
- Proven ability to deliver work (as Project Manager) in Demand and Revenue and Commercial Due Diligence to support clients undertaking transactions in at least two of the following sectors: Roads/Highways, Ports/Maritime, European Rail/Rolling Stock, Urban Transit (light rail/tram), Bus, EV.
- The ability to work autonomously yet in collaboration with other colleagues and our clients.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of Demand & Revenue and / or Commercial Due Diligence
- Ability to identify trends and develop change strategies.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and make difficult decisions.
- Ability to shape the technical offer to target growth markets.
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant experience in project management, and comfortable with managing a range of large consulting projects effectively and in parallel.
- Strong analytical aptitude
- Excellent Excel skills
- Proven track record of delivery of timely, profitable and high-quality projects
- Proven experience in developing effective working relationships with clients and potential clients
- Ability to think strategically and prioritise potential business development activities
