About the Role
SAP Cloud Application Services (CAS) offers a seamless and unified offering in SAP application support. We are seeking a Senior Basis Expert to actively shape the development and direction of our business unit, focusing on Cloud Application Management Services within regulated industries. You will serve as an expert for the technical operation of cloud systems and applications within the global CAS unit for Sovereign Cloud solutions, ensuring the smooth delivery of Cloud Application Services for private and public cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Empower and mentor internal and external delivery teams, including quality assurance and continuous training.
- Lead the maintenance of complex SAP landscapes through technical expertise and support.
- Troubleshoot and handle customer inquiries.
- Act as a trusted interface between CAS and SAP solution/product areas.
- Provide hands-on support for customer inquiries and incidents.
- Lead or participate in working groups and internal initiatives.
- Support team colleagues in establishing a sustainable, customer-oriented market presence for SAP Cloud Application Services.
- Ensure smooth deployment of Cloud Application Services for private and public cloud environments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical SAP administration with SAP Basis knowledge.
- Knowledge and experience in setting up, administering, and operating SAP solutions.
- Solid experience working in Basis support teams and delivering within defined frameworks and timelines.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are a must.
- Willingness to work in the office daily to ensure close team collaboration.
- Willingness to work in shift operations in our dedicated SAP Support Centers.
- Willingness to undergo a government security clearance procedure due to the potentially classified nature of the work.

- SAP Basis tasks including certificate management and trust configuration, system updates, performance tuning, Solution Manager configuration, SAP Transport Management and CTS+, Load Balancing, Maintenance Planner, SSL and encryption/decryption, SNC/SAML, and technical integration with upstream and downstream systems.
- Solution Management/Focused Run/Focused Insights for alerting and monitoring requirements (desirable)
- Business Technology Platform, its offerings, and SAP Basis support functions, including technical integration (desirable)
