Responsibilities

• Clean assigned properties to the highest standard, ensuring consistency in and out of season.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, staircases, and lifts using appropriate products and equipment.
• Clean and tidy bathrooms, including fixtures, tiles, mirrors, and floors.
• Clean and tidy kitchens, including dishes, ovens, cupboards, and shelves.
• Run water outlets regularly to prevent legionella growth and report any water temperature or pressure fluctuations.
• Periodically turn mattresses following health and safety procedures.
• Perform pre-arrival set-ups, during-stay services, departure deep cleaning, and low season housekeeping maintenance.
• Manage property access, including disarming and setting alarms, and reporting any alarm issues.
• Ensure legitimate staff and contractors access properties and adhere to company policies.
• Report any maintenance problems within properties to supervisors or the Housekeeping Office.
• Process laundry, report discrepancies, and check returned laundry for quality.
• Assist supervisors with stock takes of operating equipment and property inventories.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and inform supervisors of replacement needs.
• Monitor and maintain crockery, cutlery, and table linen stores.
• Report any damages or stains to carpets or soft furnishings immediately.
• Attend to guest requests promptly and efficiently, keeping supervisors informed.
• Place food orders and verify delivery quantity and quality.
• Handle personal items left in properties according to correct procedures.
• Set up and service accommodation for overnight guests and attend to their needs.
• Ensure mobile phones are in good working order.
• Be flexible with rotating shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Perform any other tasks requested by management within the scope of the position.

Requirements

• Able to speak and understand English.
• Experience in professional housekeeping.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role.
• Safe handling of hazardous chemicals training.
• Valid UK driver’s license, preferably manual.
