About the Role
We are seeking a professional to conceptualize, develop, and implement modern Data Science, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions for clients in the chemical, process, and manufacturing industries. You will develop scalable ML and AI applications, analyze complex production processes, and translate business questions into robust AI solutions. This role involves deployment, operation, and continuous development of solutions on cloud platforms and establishing MLOps/LLMOps standards. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and guide clients throughout the project lifecycle, presenting results and supporting architectural decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement modern Data Science, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions for clients in the chemical, process, and manufacturing industries.
- Develop scalable Machine Learning and AI applications, from time series analysis, anomaly detection, and optimization methods to LLM, RAG, and Agentic AI architectures.
- Analyze complex production processes and translate business questions into robust, production-ready AI solutions.
- Oversee deployment, operation, and continuous development of solutions on modern cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and Databricks, establishing MLOps/LLMOps standards.
- Work interdisciplinarily with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and subject matter experts, guiding clients through the entire project lifecycle.
- Present results to clients as a technical point of contact, support architectural decisions, and develop reusable frameworks, assets, and best practices for industry projects.
Requirements
- Successfully completed Master's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable engineering/natural science field with a focus on the chemical or process industry.
- Several years of full-time professional experience (minimum 2 years) as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or AI Engineer, ideally in consulting or project environments.
- Good understanding of chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing processes, with the ability to translate business questions into data-driven solutions.
- Sound experience in developing production-ready Data Science and Machine Learning solutions (e.g., Machine Learning, time series analysis, anomaly detection, statistical modeling, mathematical optimization).
- Practical experience in Generative AI and Agentic AI (e.g., LLMs, RAG architectures, Agentic Frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen, Prompt Engineering, evaluation and optimization of productive AI systems).
- Very good knowledge of Python and experience with modern software engineering practices, APIs, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and ideally MLOps/LLMOps.
- Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS) and ideally with Databricks.
