About the Role
As Project Manager, you are the accountable leader for delivering complex, safety-critical projects from tender through to handover. You ensure scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety are delivered without compromise, leading multi-disciplinary teams and acting as the client-facing representative. You drive delivery through structured planning, rigorous cost control, and evidence-based change management, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Receive and review package requirements and documentation, highlighting discrepancies.
- Plan, monitor, and arrange resource levels, material requirements, and site demands for efficient project package operation.
- Review client specifications and prepare internal specifications and manufacturing details.
- Lead building services co-ordination exercises in conjunction with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with design and engineering departments to ensure project targets and obligations are met.
- Assist and define in the procurement of equipment and materials.
- Contribute to the commercial management of the project, being aware of commercial constraints.
- Recognize and report variations and delays to the tendered scope of works.
- Contribute and provide information for the submission of valuations and invoices.
- Supervise junior staff, lead by example, and develop team spirit.
- Carry out accurate site surveys and site measures, demonstrating flexibility for site visits.
- Develop a working relationship with the client.
- Attend site meetings to expand relationships and promote the company.
- Contribute to the preparation of safe systems of work, including method statements and risk assessments.
Requirements
- Be aware of and familiar with current industry standards and specifications relevant to ventilation systems.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to represent the best interests of the company in dealings with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- A conscientious, positive, and reliable attitude.
- Understanding of company's contractual obligations.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
