About the Role
The EMEA Website Lead will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational management, and performance of the DS Smith website across all EMEA markets. This role aims to transform the website into a high-impact, customer-centric platform by centralizing management processes for greater efficiency and consistency. The lead will oversee a team to ensure the site is fast, intuitive, and relevant, supporting lead generation, conversion, and commercial growth.
Responsibilities
- Define a clear vision for the website’s role in delivering business value, customer engagement, and measurable growth.
- Build and maintain a strategic roadmap for website enhancements across all EMEA markets and language versions.
- Manage the website budget effectively, ensuring cost optimisation and securing senior management approval for key projects.
- Lead the planning and execution of a structured website experimentation programme, including A/B testing and UX optimisation.
- Leverage analytics tools to track website performance and implement continuous optimisation strategies.
- Drive SEO/GEO improvements focused on priority topics to enhance visibility and search rankings.
- Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and accessibility requirements, including GDPR.
- Lead the central website team responsible for UX, experimentation, and optimisation.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve efficiency and innovation across website initiatives.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using Optimizely CMS to create, edit, and publish multilingual content.
- Experience with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation platforms.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
- Basic understanding of Dynamics 365 Marketing Forms.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) and consent management.
- Ability to define and track KPIs and interpret data to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in building a website from the ground up, including defining and delivering a compelling vision.
- Strong project management skills to oversee website updates, migrations, and other initiatives.
