About the Role
Engine by MoneyLion is seeking a Sr. Principal Business Intelligence Analyst to serve as the senior-most individual contributor within the Product Analytics organization. This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, business strategy, and analytics leadership, helping shape how Engine measures product success, evaluates customer experiences, and makes strategic product investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Drive Product and Business Strategy, influencing roadmap prioritization and evaluating strategic investments through data-driven recommendations and business case development.
- Lead Product Analytics Across Multiple Domains, defining and evolving North Star metrics, KPI frameworks, and measurement standards.
- Establish Analytics and Experimentation Standards, leading the design and evaluation of complex A/B tests and partnering with Product and Engineering on readouts connecting results to business decisions.
- Influence Product Development Lifecycle by partnering with Product Managers to define measurement plans, success metrics, tracking requirements, and KPI frameworks.
- Lead Complex Investigations and Performance Analysis, conducting deep-dive analyses into customer behavior and serving as the escalation point for complex data investigations.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Engine's product and data ecosystem, driving cross-functional investigations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, Consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting product organizations within fintech, marketplace, SaaS, technology, or data-driven environments.
- Extensive experience partnering directly with Product Management, Engineering, and senior business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across multiple teams without direct authority.
Skills
- Advanced expertise in SQL and working with large-scale data environments.
- Strong understanding of product analytics, customer journey analysis, funnel optimization, and KPI development.
- Deep knowledge of experimentation methodologies, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and executive audiences.
- Experience with modern data platforms/tooling (Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Amplitude or similar).
- Experience with Python, R, or advanced statistical modeling.

- 157,500 - 180,000 USD plus bonus
