About the Role
This role is for an ambitious and entrepreneurial National Account Manager within the UKI business unit, reporting into the ASDA Account Lead. The position focuses on the New Ventures portfolio at ASDA, involving end-to-end ownership from proposition building and pitching to landing products on shelf and establishing long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Full P&L ownership of the New Ventures business within ASDA, delivering top-line sales, share, and profit.
- Lead sales pitches and negotiations for all new products, concepts, and commercial propositions.
- Create and execute customer plans, leading JBPs and translating strategy into actionable priorities.
- Drive in-store and online execution, including range, availability, distribution, and secondary display.
- Build long-term partnerships with stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams.
- Manage forecasting, risks, and opportunities using sales data and market insights.
- Provide accurate visibility and decisive actions based on data.
Requirements
- 3+ years in account management roles with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Strong record of pitching and landing new products.
- Comfort with ambiguity, incomplete data, and lack of established playbooks.
- Resilience and pace to handle setbacks and pivot approaches.
- Strong sales and negotiation capability, combining analytical rigor with storytelling.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high personal credibility for communication, presentation, and influence.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree.
