About the Role
We're looking for a Finance Analyst to support our subsidiary entities in accurately forecasting, reporting, and observing operating expense controls, while also supporting the financial management of strategic business projects. This role will involve becoming the subject matter expert for intercompany processes, ensuring accurate, well-controlled, and timely transactions between entities. The position combines financial planning with project-based work, offering exposure to forecasting, reporting, governance, process improvement, and stakeholder management across Finance and the wider business. You will collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners, Financial Control, Group FP&A, and business stakeholders to provide high-quality financial information that supports sound decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Produce monthly forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting for subsidiary entities, ensuring accuracy and understanding.
- Administer and coordinate the intercompany charging process, ensuring accurate processing, correct approvals, and timely completion.
- Prepare financial reporting for strategic projects, monitoring spend against budgets and highlighting financial risks, opportunities, and performance.
- Support month-end activities by preparing journals, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting schedules in partnership with Financial Control.
- Investigate financial variances and explain the commercial drivers behind changes in spend, forecasting assumptions, and project performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and the business to gather forecast inputs, resolve data issues, and enhance financial information quality.
- Maintain financial models, reporting templates, and process documentation to improve consistency, governance, and operational efficiency.
- Support investment business cases by gathering financial information, validating assumptions, and preparing analysis for decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve finance processes through better system and data utilization.
- Assist in delivering finance transformation initiatives by supporting testing, implementation, and continuous improvement projects.
