About the Role

Act as a strategic growth advisor to leading web publishers across Australia and New Zealand, unlocking maximum value, seamless integration, and commercial impact for our publisher partners. This role sits within the ANZ Publishing team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, ANZ.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute data-driven optimization strategies to maximize yield, engagement, and header bidding/programmatic performance for publisher properties.
  • Identify expansion opportunities by driving account retention, upselling new ad formats, and introducing platform features to exceed portfolio revenue targets.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), translating complex web performance metrics, audience trends, and market dynamics into actionable executive presentations.
  • Partner with the Business Development team during pitches, acting as the primary technical advisor and web implementation specialist.
  • Oversee end-to-end technical setups, web ad tag implementations, and seamless partner onboarding.
  • Track and diagnose daily impressions, fill rates, eCPMs, and pacing, proactively troubleshooting and resolving delivery or technical issues.
  • Cultivate high-trust relationships with key publishers and internal cross-functional partners to streamline workflows and drive platform adoption.
  • Maintain strict data integrity and structured reporting using internal tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track optimization pipelines and account health.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of client-facing experience within Ad Tech, digital media, SSPs, ad operations, or digital publisher environments, with a proven track record in the ANZ market.
  • Solid understanding of the programmatic web ecosystem (SSPs/DSPs, Header Bidding, Prebid.js) and core web tools (Google Ad Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics).
  • Deep analytical capability with strong Excel proficiency for interpreting yield trends, running performance diagnostics, and converting complex datasets into commercial insights.
  • Outstanding consultative presentation skills with demonstrated success managing cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
  • Full working rights in Australia/New Zealand (sponsorship is not available for this role).
  • Basic hands-on familiarity with core web technologies—HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DOM manipulation, APIs, or web SDK integrations.
  • Exposure to SQL for data querying and experience using Salesforce for portfolio/pipeline tracking.
  • Prior experience assisting with commercial negotiations, contract amendments, and renewal agreements.
  • Deep understanding of supply-side publisher optimization coupled with buyer-side programmatic market dynamics.
