About the Role
As an intern in our social media team, you will gain insights into the daily social media operations of a media company. You will focus on community management, taking ownership of our pioneers and engaging with our readership on social media, moderating discussions, and ensuring members feel heard. You will also monitor online debates, identify relevant topics for the Pioneer community, develop new engagement strategies, and support the creation of social media content by adapting editorial content for our platforms. Close collaboration with the editorial and marketing teams is essential to ensure community feedback is effectively relayed.
Responsibilities
- Accompany dialogue with our readership on social media
- Moderate discussions and ensure members feel heard
- Monitor debates online and identify relevant topics for the Pioneer community
- Develop new ways to engage with our community beyond comments
- Support the development of social media posts
- Translate editorial content for our platforms
- Coordinate closely with editorial and marketing teams to ensure community feedback is delivered
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree, ideally related to communication, media, journalism, or marketing
- First experience in community or social media, e.g., through internships, part-time jobs, or personal projects
- Ideally, experience with Canva or other graphic design tools
- Interest in politics, business, and societal debates
- Enjoy direct exchange with a community, even during controversial discussions
- A good sense for tonality and formats across different platforms
- Structured, independent work style with attention to detail
