About the Role

KBR is seeking a Configuration Officer to support configuration management activities for the ACS CLCM maritime sustainment program in Garden Island, Sydney. This role involves managing configuration workflows, applying principles within a Systems Engineering environment, assessing changes, and representing the team at Configuration Control Boards, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of critical asset information.

Responsibilities

Review and manage changes to the configuration baselines of the PBS.
Review and examine metadata integrity and conduct data queries for configuration baseline updates.
Review and manage configuration changes and deviations.
Participate in Configuration Control Boards.
Deliver Configuration Status Accounting data and services.
Respond to external audits and Corrective Action Reports.
Liaise with the ACSSPO to execute tasks.
Develop relationships with sub-contract agencies.
Liaise with the Engineering Team, Ship Superintendents, and Waterfront Engineers to ensure compliance with the Configuration Management Plan.
Assist the Configuration Team and stakeholders under broad direction.
Execute day-to-day activities in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.
Independently apply Configuration Management techniques in Systems Engineering for Navy Maritime Assets, make decisions on Configuration change, and represent the team in Configuration Control Boards.
Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of those within the organisation.

Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in an engineering or similar role (preferably within the Defence industry).
Experience in Stock Control and Planned Maintenance (SCPM).
Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
Must hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
Compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is required.
