About the Role

Libra is transforming how legal and compliance professionals work by developing an AI platform that combines deep legal reasoning with cutting-edge generative technology. We are seeking an exceptional QA Automation Engineer to lead our QA function, ensuring the quality and scalability of our product. This high-ownership role is at the intersection of testing, developer experience, and AI tooling, offering a broad mandate to define how a fast-moving legal AI product remains trustworthy as it grows. You will be part of a skilled technology and product organization, working at the vibrant Merantix AI Campus in Berlin.

Responsibilities

Own, evolve, and continuously improve the automated test framework.
Design and build end-to-end and integration tests for complex, cross-cutting flows.
Pair with and coach engineers on test design for larger features.
Build out continuous testing in CI, including modern pipelines with parallelism and fast feedback.
Lead the integration of AI-powered testing tools and background agents into the pipeline.
Establish testing patterns for non-deterministic features like LLM responses and async pipelines.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a substantial focus on test automation and CI infrastructure.
Strong proficiency with Python (pytest, async) and TypeScript (Playwright or equivalent).
Deep CI/CD experience on a modern platform (GitHub Actions or similar).
Hands-on experience using AI coding agents like Cursor or Claude Code.
Proven experience testing distributed, asynchronous, eventually-consistent systems.
Bachelor's degree preferred in Software Engineering or a related technical field.
Bonus: Experience building test infrastructure or evaluation harnesses for LLM-powered products.
