About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional night cleaner to join our team in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our site. You will work independently to ensure all areas meet our high cleanliness standards while adhering to health and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and committed to delivering quality work on a consistent basis. This is a permanent part-time evening position with a schedule of five (5) shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of assigned areas, including offices, pantries, restrooms, common areas, and specialized spaces.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and equipment according to established protocols.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in a timely manner.
- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory of materials.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Participate in educational programs and in-service trainings.
Requirements
- A great attitude!
- Strong English communication skills – mandatory
- Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods in a public-facing environment.
- Comfortable using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Able to communicate professionally with supervisors, clients, and office members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
Skills
- Cleaning/janitorial experience is an asset (minimum 6 months preferred)
