About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to validate restoration and building quotes and cost estimates for small to medium properties across high-end residential and commercial projects. You’ll work closely with contractors, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to assess damage, review scopes of work, and ensure repair costs are accurate, appropriate, and aligned with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections where required to assess damage and confirm scopes of work and associated costs
- Review and analyse scopes of work to understand repair requirements and methodologies
- Collaborate with panel contractors to ensure repair costs align with contracted rates
- Work with policyholder-preferred contractors to ensure repair costs align with industry standards
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
- Apply your knowledge of the construction process, including inspection milestones, permit requirements, and WHS protocols
- Use your experience in construction cost validation and industry cost standards to assess estimates accurately
- Deliver a strong customer experience by understanding the needs, expectations, and circumstances of internal and external clients
- Manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines
- Produce accurate, high-quality work with strong attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders
- Respond promptly and professionally to requests, emails, and phone calls
- Adapt to changing priorities and remain flexible in your approach
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve team objectives
