About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to be second-in-command in our kitchen, supporting our Head Chef in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our residents at Meadowbank Grove Care Community.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and managing daily operations.
- Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences.
- Help maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance.
- Step up and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Contribute to creating a dining experience that brings joy to our residents.
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a Chef, with some supervisory or leadership exposure.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- A passion for food and a genuine desire to make a difference in aged care.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to complete: Pre-employment medical, Police check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
