About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated social pedagogical specialist for our "Neuanfang" project in Berlin. This role involves supporting unemployed individuals facing housing challenges, guiding them towards stability, social participation, and professional prospects. You will work closely with various agencies and a multidisciplinary team to help participants stabilize their lives and reintegrate into the job market.

Responsibilities

  • Individual social pedagogical support and coaching
  • Developing stabilization perspectives with participants
  • Assisting with daily structuring and personal problem-solving
  • Providing advice and support for housing search and securing housing
  • Motivating participants to utilize further support and counseling services
  • Activating and preparing individuals for training, qualification, and employment
  • Collaborating with the Jobcenter, authorities, and social/medical institutions
  • Conducting group sessions on relevant daily life topics
  • Documenting counseling processes and preparing reports
  • Contributing to the multidisciplinary team

Requirements

  • Ideally, professional experience working with individuals in difficult life situations or with multiple barriers to employment
  • Knowledge of SGB II and related support systems is advantageous
  • Empathy, appreciation, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to motivate and provide long-term support to individuals
  • Intercultural competence and a resource-oriented approach
  • Independent and structured work style
