About the Role
Lead effective delivery of reward priorities across Retail, Hotels and Support team business units. Provide strategic input and ensure the effective delivery of agreed performance and reward priorities as the Senior Partner - Performance & Reward Partnering. Drive high performance and engagement through the management of competitive, equitable, and market-aligned performance and reward programs, while leading and developing a team of 3 direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Business Partner COE and business leaders on strategic and operational P&R initiatives.
- Directly lead, engage, develop, and empower a team of 3 specialists to deliver outstanding reward analysis and advice.
- Lead the business through the cyclical performance and remuneration review process (including calibration, distribution, financial modelling, budgeting, and recommendations).
- Manage and administer Short-Term Incentive Plans (STIs) and sales incentive plans with robust data governance.
- Oversee salary and allowance benchmarking, role sizing, financial modelling, and market data surveys to maintain competitive positioning and internal equity.
- Contribute operational expertise to major strategic projects, such as the implementation of a new Job Family Architecture and job-based ranges.
- Review WGEA data and pay equity insights to support fair remuneration outcomes.
- Partner with Employee Relations and legal specialists to ensure full compliance with Australian employment legislation, Fair Work regulations, and industrial instruments.
- Collaborate with the Performance & Reward Solutions and People Systems teams to deliver cyclical remuneration activities and continuously improve remuneration tools and leadership capability.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience within a Performance & Reward function leading a range of strategic and operational activities.
- Demonstrated track record of leading, engaging, and developing a team of skilled specialists.
- Advanced, in-depth proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets with a proven track record of building complex financial models, costing scenarios, and cycle distribution data sets.
- Advanced expertise in enterprise compensation frameworks, STI plans, job evaluation/sizing methodologies, and Australian employment/industrial legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to advise, influence, and build deep relationships across all levels of a complex matrix organisation.
- Prior experience contributing to large-scale remuneration transformation projects (like implementing Job Family Architectures), hands-on experience with enterprise HRIS platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, or previous experience supporting multi-site retail or hospitality operational environments.
