About the Role
This role is for a commercial content marketer who wants their work measured in pipeline, not page views. You will own the content engine that drives top-of-funnel demand and lifts our bookings rate, spanning customer and product marketing. You will translate the Head of Marketing’s strategy into a sharp, funnel-aligned content calendar that gives sales something worth talking about. You will also help run the HubSpot lead funnel, marketing operations, digital marketing and event content support. This is a growth-stage opportunity in a fast-moving EdTech scale-up, reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product and the wider marketing team.
Responsibilities
- Build and own a funnel-aligned content calendar for Compass’ LinkedIn presence and wider channels.
- Translate strategic briefs into clear, actionable production briefs, and manage agencies and freelancers.
- Scale organic content into a repeatable pipeline to feed LinkedIn paid media.
- Write and edit commercially minded copy across formats (social, long-form, email, landing pages, sales-facing assets).
- Blend customer and product marketing to create content that moves prospects through the funnel.
- Optimise the HubSpot lead funnel to improve conversion rates.
- Support the migration from Zoho to HubSpot and help embed HubSpot as the marketing spine.
- Track content and campaign performance in HubSpot, reporting on pipeline and bookings.
- Revamp sales enablement content (decks, one-pagers, case studies, battlecards).
- Partner with Sales and Product to keep messaging current and differentiated.
- Support digital marketing execution across LinkedIn, email and web.
- Provide content support for key events and campaigns.
- Bring a test-and-learn mindset, using AI tools to work faster and smarter.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in events, marketing or a related field, ideally within the EdTech sector.
- Strong technical confidence, with experience using tools such as Monday.com, Canva and CRM platforms (preferably Zoho or HubSpot), along with email marketing programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and multitasking capability.
- Proactive and structured approach to work.
- High attention to detail.
- Positive, collaborative mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced team environment.
- Strong initiative and ownership.
- 3+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong copywriter who can move between strategic messaging and hands-on production.
- Experienced with CRM and marketing automation, HubSpot strongly preferred.
- Proven agency manager who can brief well, manage vendors and get high-quality work delivered on time.
- Data-driven: connect content to pipeline and bookings, and use performance data to decide next steps.
- Commercially minded, self-directed and energised by a growth-stage, high-expectation environment.
- Fluent with AI tools as a daily way of working.
- A valid Employee Working With Children Check.
- A satisfactory National Police Check.
- Verification of unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- A valid Australian Drivers License.
