About the Role

The Oncology Area Business Manager (ABM) is responsible for achieving annual sales objectives for a Long Island territory by developing, maintaining, and enhancing key customer relationships. This role involves creating and implementing effective territory plans, leveraging Sanofi resources, and utilizing selling techniques and marketing strategies to increase product understanding and identify appropriate patients. The ABM must demonstrate initiative, drive, and independence to meet and exceed business goals in a compliant manner with high integrity, adhering to all Sanofi US policies and pharmaceutical promotion regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilize a business plan aligned with marketing strategies through territory analysis, cross-functional collaboration and customer insights (updated quarterly).
  • Implement business plans by leveraging all appropriate resources, both human and physical, with Hematologists and Oncologists and other appropriate key customers.
  • Develop as a product, disease state and marketplace expert.
  • Effectively communicate and position product information to customers to promote the appropriate use of the Sanofi oncology portfolio within the territory.
  • Work closely with all field partners as necessary to ensure strategy pull through from Key IDNs/System, Reimbursement, Key Accounts, other ABMs and Medical (as appropriate).
  • Complete call reporting, business plan updates and expense reports, and operate within all Pharma compliance guidelines.
  • Effective account targeting and time management.
  • Attend training sessions as required and conventions and symposia, as necessary.
  • Complete all fleet safety training and maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited school required. Focus on business or life science preferred.
  • Minimum two years of Specialty sales experience.
  • Safely driving a company car to daily meetings and appointments is required.

  • Up to 2 years of successful experience in the sale of chemotherapeutic agents or bio-tech products preferred
  • Oncology/Hematology sales experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of and familiarity with the hospital and cancer center environment preferred.

  • BA/BS degree

Salary/Compensations

  • $125,250.00 - $208,750.00
