About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer at Eftsure is a critical player in our product development process, bringing both deep technical expertise and emerging leadership abilities. This role is centred on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the highest standards of efficiency and scalability. As a senior member of the team, you’ll not only be hands-on with code but also guide and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the team’s technical direction aligns with best practices and long-term project goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor more junior engineers, empowering them to reach their full potential while ensuring that all development aligns with the highest technical standards and business objectives.
- Take ownership of designing and implementing robust, scalable software systems that directly contribute to the efficiency and growth of our product offerings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, onshore and offshore, to ensure that software solutions are not only delivered on time but also meet or exceed the expectations of all stakeholders, enhancing overall product value.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and create technical documentation that ensures the longevity and maintainability of the codebase, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, researching, recommending, and integrating cutting-edge tools and technologies that drive innovation and provide a competitive advantage to the business.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in software development, with a deep understanding of relevant programming languages and patterns, development methodologies, and modern tools that can be utilised to deliver high-quality products.
- Proven ability to guide and inspire junior engineers, fostering a learning environment that promotes professional growth and aligns with the strategic goals of the business.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex challenges, and providing innovative solutions that drive both immediate and long-term business success.
- A strong grasp of software architecture principles, enabling you to design systems that are both flexible and scalable, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and driving business outcomes.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant professional experience as a software engineer.
