About the Role
The Haematology Pathologist is responsible for the supervisory management of high-quality diagnostic services within their scope of practice, in partnership with the Head of Haematology Division and the Director of Pathology. SydPath is a fully accredited NATA/RCPA registered facility offering a comprehensive range of pathology services.
Responsibilities
- Supervisory management of high-quality diagnostic services within their scope of practice.
- Partnership with the Head of Haematology Division and the Director of Pathology.
Requirements
- Full medical registration with Australian Medical Board (or eligibility for full registration).
- Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
- Sound knowledge of private/public pathology.
- Proven leadership qualities and a capacity for Executive Administrative responsibilities, including financial responsibilities particularly in a Pathology setting.
- High level of clinical competence.
- Knowledge of future advances in Pathology.
- Vision and commitment to research, teaching and academic leadership in Pathology.
- Willingness to be an Approved Pathology practitioner and hold a current APP undertaking under section 23DC of the Health Insurance Act 1973 (Cth).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current immunity status that complies with the Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases - NSW Health Policy Directive (PD2023_022) or subsequent revisions in force.
