About the Role
As a Lifeguard at Water Safari Water Park, you will ensure swimmer safety, maintain pool cleanliness, and contribute to guests having a memorable experience. You will be vigilant in monitoring the water and responding to any situations that arise.
Responsibilities
- Watch the waters and ensure swimmer safety.
- Follow strict safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness of pools and surrounding areas.
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations for each pool and water ride area.
- Perform rescues and provide first aid.
- Communicate safety rules to guests and team members.
- Attend weekly in-service training to maintain skills.
Requirements
- Must be a capable swimmer who loves the water and can stay focused for long periods.
- Must have a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
- Must be safety-conscious and always looking out for others.
- Must have a calm, friendly demeanor and be able to handle emergencies with poise.
- Must be prepared to stand for long periods, maintaining focus.
- Must be comfortable working in all kinds of weather.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to explain rules, instructions, and emergency procedures clearly and effectively.
