About the Role

The Quality Assurance representative will provide professional site assessments for the Momentum design team for photovoltaic projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled, motivated, and willing to learn, maintaining high business ethics and communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical site assessments using various tools and equipment.
• Climb roofs and determine their condition.
• Measure roof planes, vents, dormers, T-vents, chimneys, and other obstructions.
• Upload shade analysis reports, collected data, and photos daily.
• Complete paper and digital site assessment forms.
• Upload information via laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Follow a preset job schedule and track hours.
• Maintain a professional appearance and interaction with homeowners.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in construction or building sciences, roof estimating, site assessment, PV, or energy efficiency.
• High School or Trade School degree in construction, roofing, or building sciences.
• Understanding of site assessment, construction sequences, methods, roofing, and materials.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods.
• Experience working in or around electric panels.
• Experience in solar and roofing.
• Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems.
• Ability to organize and maintain paper documents, electronic photos, and files.
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing site assessments.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Proficiency with smartphone applications and digital cameras.
• Basic computer skills including file management and email communication.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, diagrams, submittals, and data sheets.
• Ability to follow standardized processes unassisted.
• Ability to interact, communicate, and provide detailed summaries of work performed.
• Ability to interact with coworkers and participate in meetings.
• Ability to climb ladders/stairs.
• Ability to work safely in various environments including rooftops and attics.
• Ability to work on rooftops with various pitched surfaces.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
• Ability to move equipment such as ladders and tools.
• Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold weather, attics, etc.).
• Ability to operate office equipment including computers.
