About the Role

Join RBC as the ATM Lead Site Reliability Engineer and lead the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical ATM infrastructure. This hybrid role combines strategic leadership with hands-on systems engineering expertise in managing a 4,000 ATM fleet. You'll drive operational excellence through technology, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration while making a meaningful impact at one of the world's most respected financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the final escalation point for critical outages and lead 24/7 incident response with rapid resolution of customer-impacting issues
  • Lead strategic direction and continuous improvement initiatives across ATM operations
  • Manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute upgrade and operational change management
  • Oversee end-to-end reliability of the ATM ecosystem (hardware, software, network) ensuring 99.7% availability
  • Manage deployment and pre-production systems ensuring compliance with established standards
  • Coordinate implementation of new infrastructure, applications, and IT services to enhance operations
  • Generate performance metrics (SLOs/SLAs/SLIs) and maintain regulatory compliance and security standards
  • Serve as primary relationship owner for vendor field services, maintenance, and internal technology teams

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in ATM technology management or financial services technology
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, and scripting (PowerShell/Python/Linux)
  • Expertise in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls) and ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, financial transaction processing, and business reporting tools (Tableau/Power BI)
  • Experience managing large-scale distributed/point of sales ecosystems
  • Experience with Splunk, Elastic Search, Grafana, MECM (SCCM), or ServiceNow platforms
