About the Role

The Old Clare Hotel is seeking a Part-Time Storeperson to manage the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized loading dock and storage areas. This hands-on role requires accuracy and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and store deliveries, verifying goods against orders and invoices.
• Inspect incoming stock against hotel quality standards.
• Accurately record all goods received and issue stock to departments as requisitioned.
• Dispatch goods efficiently and maintain accurate records of movements.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe loading dock and storage areas.
• Participate in monthly stocktakes.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety guidelines.
• Support the wider team with additional duties as directed by the stores manager or cost controller.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a stores or warehouse person.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with stock and paperwork.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage physical stock efficiently.
• A safety-first mindset, particularly around manual handling and loading dock operations.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking direction from stakeholders.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Prior experience in stores, warehousing, or hospitality supply chain is an advantage.
• A genuine focus on guest and internal customer service.
