About the Role
Provide basic patient care and comfort, including changing bandages and helping with bathing or dressing. Discuss care with patients and listen to their concerns. Report patients' status and concerns to registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, or physicians. Document patient care and maintain health records.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, manage patient flow, and conduct patient intake.
- Assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs and overall patient health status.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and basic treatments.
- Perform suture removal, specimen collection, and phlebotomy.
- Document patient information in EMR and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
- Educate patients on medication, procedures, and general healthcare.
Requirements
- NYS LPN License and Registration
- BLS Certification by American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or GED
- LPN Diploma or Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Government Photo ID
- 2 Professional Reference Letters
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate by American Heart Association
- Proof of updated Titers for Measles, Mumps and Rubella, HepB, Varicella, and Flu Vaccination
